Our Story:
Born at the Barn. Made for Everyday Care.
Dr. Milt’s began with a simple idea: there had to be an easier way to use Epsom salt.
As a racehorse veterinarian, Dr. Milt was familiar with traditional clay poultices and Epsom salt soaks used as part of equine care. While these methods had a long history in the horse world, they could also be messy, time-consuming, and inconvenient.
Drawing on his veterinary experience, Dr. Milt developed a topical formula using magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt) combined with thoughtfully selected ingredients including arnica, witch hazel, peppermint, and wintergreen.
The result was a convenient way to bring Epsom salt into everyday topical care through easy-to-apply cream, gel, and spray formulas — without the traditional soak or messy poultice.
What began as a product developed for horses eventually grew into the Dr. Milt’s line available today, with topical care designed for horses, dogs, and people.

Meet Dr. Milt:
A Lifetime in Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Milt's connection to horses began on his family's Maryland farm, where racehorses were boarded. He later worked as a hot walker and groomer at racetracks throughout Maryland and Delaware before earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the University of Georgia.
His career went on to include service in the U.S. Army and U.S. Public Health Service, work at the National Institutes of Health, racetrack veterinary medicine, and leadership roles in animal care and research.
With more than 35 years of veterinary experience, Dr. Milt brought his knowledge of horses and animal care to the development of the topical products that carry his name today.
